A sad but also encouraging news came from Bogota. Scare! After 40 days in the Amazon, 4 children of plane crash victims were found alive. Four children were surprisingly found alive on Friday (06/09/2023), after spending more than a month lost in the Colombian Amazon jungle.
They were victims of a plane crash in the Amazon on May 1. "Excitement to the whole country! 4 children who went missing 40 days ago in the Colombian jungle have been found alive," Colombian President Gustavo Petro wrote on Twitter.

He also posted photos showing several adults, some wearing military uniforms, caring for children sitting on tarps among dense forests.
A Miracle from God
The children missing in the Amazon jungle were 13 years old, 9 years old, 4 years old, and 1 year old.
"Yes, the children have been found, but I need a flight or helicopter to pick them up immediately," the children's grandfather, Fidencio Valencia, told AFP.
Hailing from the Uitoto Indigenous group, the boys had been wandering alone in the woods since May 1, when the Cessna 206 they were riding in crashed.

Earlier, the bodies of three adults who were with the children had been found at the crash site by soldiers. The three were their mother, a pilot, and a relative of the children.
