"We want all staff at Schiphol to have a good working environment so that (we) use technology to improve working conditions," said Director of Asset Management at Royal Schiphol Group, Sybren Hahn, quoted from his official website, Wednesday (7/6/2023).
Later, he continued, his party will test at least five transport aids and some automated tools. Some of them are considered new to the world of aviation.
Baggage Lifting Robot Makes It Easy to Get You at Schiphol Airport
The robot at Schiphol Airport is specially designed and targeted to lift at least 80 percent of all luggage without any problems during the trial period. This is because the robot works closely with airport staff.
The main goal is to lift 90 percent of all baggage.
For information, the robot was made by Cobot Lift, a Danish company that focuses on cooperation between humans and robots.
During a two-week trial period, the robot was tested in terms of meeting targets and the experience of staff at airports working with the robot.

Schiphol Airport plans to conduct trials of other alternatives shortly so that the most suitable option will be implemented if needed.
