Real Madrid beat AC Milan in the 2023/2024 pre-season test match. Trailing by two goals first, El Real finally won 3-2.
Madrid was aggressive in the first 20 minutes
In the match held at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Madrid fielded Brahim Diaz and Joselu in front, supported by Jude Bellingham in a 4-1-2-1-2 formation.
Milan fielded many of its backup players, but Christian Pulisic started alongside Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Junior Messias.
Madrid appeared more aggressive to put pressure on the Milan defense and had two chances in the first 20 minutes, through Bellingham and Toni Kroos, but were off target.
Milan was able to score first in the 25th minute. Pulisic's shot went to the middle and Fikayo Tomori beat Nacho, before heading the ball into the corner of Andriy Lunin's goal.

Madrid tried to hit back but several times their efforts were unsuccessful. Milan even doubled the score four minutes before halftime.
Receiving Davide Calabria's short pass, Luka Romero in front of the penalty area fired a hard left-footed shot that hit the top corner of Lunin's goal.
Milan were 2-0 up at halftime. Entering the second half, Madrid made changes by inserting Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo.
As a result, Madrid could reduce the score to 1-2 in the 56th minute. Federico Valverde got free space to shoot from outside the box, the ball went to Marco Sportiello but instead slipped and went into the net.
In less than a minute, Madrid made the score equally strong 2-2. Again Valverde fired a fierce shot from outside the penalty area that Sportiello was unable to repel.
The inclusion of Vinicius and Rodrygo made the attack sharper and made Milan's back line troublesome. Vinicius had a chance in the 68th minute but was denied by Mike Maignan.
Milan also had two chances through Olivier Giroud and Tijani Rijnders who did not meet with results.
Madrid's comeback was complete after Vinicius put them 3-2 up in the 83rd minute. Luka Modric's long pass met him in Milan's defensive area.
After subduing Simon Kjaer, Vinicius entered the penalty area and placed the ball between Maignan's hands. The score lasted until the Real Madrid vs AC Milan match was over.
