Tour de France: Woods wins on Puy de Dome stage

Pierre Latour, the Frenchman, finished second followed by Slovenian Matej Mohoric, completing the podium with the crowd focused on the main battle between some of the favorites who took place minutes behind.
Vingegaard has not been moved from the top of the standings
"I don't think I was able to make it, very quiet up there," Woods said.
Woods drove alone in the 450 meters ahead of the finish and became the only non-European driver to win the stage at Puy de Dome.

Denmark's Vingegaard has not been moved from the top of the standings ahead of the break, on Monday (10/07/2023), after bagging a 17-second margin advantage from his main rival Tadej Pogacar from Slovenia.
Pogacar finished eight minutes 19 seconds behind Woods on the 182km stage when he was first to finish out of his main rivals.
The UAE rider shaved eight seconds off his main rival, but Vingegaard of the Jumbo Visma team was still ahead at the top.
