The thief fell in love at first sight after seeing photos on a mobile phone
"I was walking down the street where she lived and unfortunately, I was robbed," the woman, identified as Emanuela, recounted her first date at an event in Brazil, the New York Post reported.
The unidentified thief said in the video that he did feel his feelings change toward the woman after he saw a picture of her on his phone.
"I'm going through a difficult situation because I don't have a lover, you know," the man said.

"When I saw her picture on my phone, I said to myself 'What a beautiful brunette, you don't see a brunette like that every day,' and I regret stealing it," she added.
The man who interviewed the couple then joked and said, "So you stole her phone and then her heart?"
Hearing this, the thief replied, "Exactly." The two have now been dating for two years.
However, it remains unclear whether the woman's parents agreed to make the former robber her child's romantic partner.
Meanwhile, their bizarre love story has left Twitter users baffled.
Some people say that such an unusual love story could only have originated in Brazil, others find the story quite interesting and believe that love can blossom anywhere and under any circumstances.
