In the penalty duel, Manchester City won 5-4. All City players were able to score, but Sevilla had to bite the bullet after Nemanja Gudelj's shot hit the bar.

Nathan Ake had almost put Manchester City ahead in the seventh minute. The Dutch defender managed to head the ball, but Bono swiftly saved the goal.

Jack Grealish posed a threat against Sevilla in the 16th minute. He fired a curling shot to the far post, but the ball was still cleared by Bono.

Sevilla managed to take a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute. Youssef En-Nesyri rattled Ederson Moraes' goal with a header after receiving a cross from Marcos Acuna.

Manchester City tried hard to find an equalizer by locking up their opponents. The English team's effort did not produce a goal until halftime because Sevilla defended very well.

Sevilla almost doubled the lead with just four minutes to go in the second half. En-Nesyri was in a free position to receive a cross, but the ball he shot could still be anticipated by Ederson's feet.

Manchester City could finally level the score to 1-1 in the 63rd minute. Cole Palmer tore through Bono's goal after heading the ball from a cross to the far post released by Rodri.

Sevilla had a moment to regain the lead in seconds. However, En-Nesyri failed to complete the opportunity when already facing Ederson.

Manchester City further increased the pressure on Sevilla's defense. Pep Guardiola's men moved the ball directly into the opponent's penalty area repeatedly, but nothing resulted in a goal.

Manchester City almost took the lead in the 90th minute. Ake was able to meet the free shot with a header, but the ball swiftly made a save.

There are no winners until the normal time is over. The winner must be found on penalties without an additional 2x15 minutes.

Manchester City became the first kicker by fielding Erling Haaland. The Norwegian managed to score, but Sevilla balanced 1-1 through the execution of Ocampos.

Julian Alvarez put Manchester City ahead in the penalty shootout and Sevilla leveled it at 2-2 through Rafa Mir. Man City went 3-2 up again through Mateo Kovacic, who was then matched 3-3 by Ivan Rakitic.

Jack Grealish also did a good job to put Manchester City ahead and then Sevilla went 4-4 up through Gonzalo Montiel. Kyle Walker put Manchester City 5-4 up despite his shot hitting Bono and Nemanja Gudelj, Sevilla's last executor, failed to score after the ball hit the bar.
