The last episode of Riverdale aired on August 23, 2023, and with a pretty astonishing ending.

Riverdale has been with its audience since January 26, 2017. This fantasy and friendship story that also shows the side of romance extends the series until the seventh season.

The story is unique because it combines the lives of young people in general with a variety of mystical events to thrillers. By the final episode, Betty (Lili Reinhart) has turned 86 and she recalls her senior year in high school.

The day in question was when the yearbook was signed, as well as a chance to say goodbye to everyone. Unfortunately, at the age of 86, all of Betty's friends have died and are left alone.

Polly (Tiera Skovbye) is said to have had twins and lived a happy life with her family. Then there's Fangs (Drew Ray Tanner), who is married to Midge (Emilija Baranac) and embarks on her summer tour.

Unfortunately, four weeks into that tour, her bus crashed in the Rocky Mountains, leaving Midge to babysit their daughter alone.

Clay (Karl Walcott) attended Columbia and is now a professor, while Kevin (Casey Cott) attended NYU and started an off-broadway theater company.

Kevin died at the age of 82, and Clay died a few weeks later in Central Park.

Toni (Vanessa Morgan) and Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) briefly moved west, settling in Oakland Hills, where they lived as artists and activists.

Nana Rose (Barbara Wallace) is reincarnated several times while Pop Tate (Alvin Sanders) dies in her sleep right at the beginning of her senior year.

The fate of the four companions

Unfortunately, even though seven seasons passed, the four did not end together. They were in their senior fourth year, but after that, they separated.

After graduating from high school, Veronica (Camila Mendes) returns to Los Angeles, where she becomes a very successful film producer. Yes, he died after his success as a filmmaker and was buried in Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

Archie (KJ What) He became a professional construction worker and amateur writer. When he died, he was buried in Riverdale next to his father. Jughead moved to New York City, where he started Jughead's Madhouse Magazine. He ended up unmarried.

Betty did the same, moving to New York and starting She Says Magazine, "the premier source for feminist and progressive goals". He adopted a daughter, named Carla. He now has a granddaughter, named Alice.

It was Alice who brought 86-year-old Betty back to Riverdale, where she died in the back seat of the car when it pulled up in Pop's parking lot.

The story of young people's lives develops until the audience is brought to see the old age of the characters.
