Former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson Dies
Former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson died at age 75 on Friday. Bill Richardson was also the UN ambassador during the Clinton administration.

According to the Richardson Center for Global Engagement, the former Secretary of Energy died peacefully in his sleep at his summer home in Massachusetts.

"He devoted his entire life serving others — including his reign and subsequent career helping free people held hostage or unlawfully held overseas," Richardson Center vice president Mickey Bergman said in a statement.
"There's no one Governor Richardson wouldn't talk to if they promised to restore someone's freedom."
He added: "The world has lost a defender for those unjustly detained abroad and I have lost a mentor and a good friend."
