In a video she uploaded to Instagram on August 14, the former model opened up about how she deals with the Pulp Fiction star and her illness every day.
"Something Beautiful" on Social Media, Emma's Encouragement
Emma asked another caregiver to post a photo of "something beautiful" on social media. He said the photos have lifted his spirits during this difficult time.
"I asked the other caregivers to send me photos because I think it's very important for us to separate thoughts that to me feel like doom and gloom," she said in the video.
Emma admits that her social media content can keep her busy living her "best life". It is not entirely true.
"I have to make an effort to stay sane every day to live the best life I can. I did that for myself. I did that for our two children and Bruce, who didn't want me to live any other way."

Emma says she's not what she looks like on social media. "Because I'm not doing well. But I have to put my best forward for myself and my family," the 45-year-old said.
Emma points out that caregivers can't take good care of others if they don't also take care of their happiness and well-being. He says it takes effort to make this mindset a habit.
"It wasn't easy for me. But I just do the best I can, always," he said. She also encourages others to spend time each day "looking for something beautiful".
In her caption, Emma also expressed her gratitude to fans who have sent her encouraging photos and positive messages.
"Your photos, words of support, and love for me and my family are truly felt. To be honest, thanks, this helped. I ask you to consider continuing to look for one thing or a beautiful moment in your day," he said.
"And I hope you guys can take me seriously with this silly hat," she jokes at the end of her video caption, referring to her outfit in the video. She also included the hashtag dementia awareness.
Emma and Bruce have been married since 2009. They have two children, 11-year-old Mabel and nine-year-old Evelyn.
