Since his attendance was confirmed, protests against the festival have continued to grow over the director's alleged sexual harassment. This case has been rolling for years without end.

Endless Allegations of Sexual Harassment

Woody Allen is said to have sexually abused his adopted son, Dylan Farrow, when he was a child. The allegations were revealed in an HBO documentary titled Allen v Farrow. In addition to her son, many female actresses voiced support for Dylan Farrow.

During this time, Woody Allen has always denied the allegations. He also made that statement in his latest interview.

"I always give good parts to women, always have women in the crew line, always pay them the same amount we give to men, work with hundreds of actresses. And never, never at all got a complaint from them until this moment," Woody Allen said in an interview with Variety.

"There's not one person who says, 'Working with (Allen), he's very rude or he's annoying. There is no such issue," he continued.

Speaking about cancel culture, Woody Allen stated, "I think if you're going to get canceled, it's canceled culture, I think it's all funny, I don't think about it."

"I don't know what it feels like to be canceled. I know everything feels the same to me. I made my film," he said.

Woody Allen became Dylan's parent when Mia adopted him while having a relationship with the director. In addition to Dylan, Allen allegedly did similar things before having a relationship with his other adopted daughter, Soon-Yi Previn.

After a relationship, Soon-Yi Previn and Woody Allen married in 1997. Instead, Previn called Mia Farrow violent to him.
