Arsenal travel to Stade Bollaert-Delelis on Matchday 2 of the Champions League. Arsenal immediately took the lead in the 14th minute through Jesus.
But Lens responded through Adrien Thomasson in the 25th minute. The score of 1-1 lasted until the break.
Bukayo Saka's injury in the first half made Arsenal's attack easier to suppress. They were then broken by Elye Wahi in the 69th minute and the score was 1-2 for Lens' lead to last until the game was complete.

With this result, Arsenal are stuck in second place in Champions League Group B with three points from two matches. Lens climbed to the top of the table with four points, while Sevilla and PSV are 3-4 with two and one point.

Arsenal immediately faced a threat when the game went five minutes. A corner sparked a scramble and the ball fell at the feet of Kevin Danso, whose pass narrowly deflected to the right of the goal.

Saka's exit made Arsenal's attack dim. A cross from Martin Odegaard was headed by Jesus in first-half injury time, but it did not threaten the Lens goal. The score lasted until halftime.
Arsenal almost opened the lead in the 49th minute after winning the ball in the opponent's area. Kai Havertz passed the ball to Leandro Trossard, who opened the gap and took a shot.
The ball was brushed aside by Brice Samba, then bounced off the Lens defender and was about to roll into the goal. Samba secured it again.
Lens threatened back in the 64th minute. Abdul Samed's shot went wide to meet Thomasson's pass.
Lens turned the lead in the 69th minute. Przemyslaw Frankowski's cross was met by Wahi, who finished it at the first opportunity to beat Raya.
Arsenal only created another chance in the 90th minute. Eddie Nketiah's cross was intercepted by Reiss Nelson, but the ball was blocked by Jonathan Gradit. No more goals were scored in the remaining time. Arsenal must return home from Lens without points.
