Man City surrounded Young Boys in an 11 vs 10 situation but struggled to add a goal. Jack Grealish's shot in the 57th minute and Foden's three minutes later was saved by Racioppi.
The score of 3-0 did not change until it was over. The additional three points solidified Man City's position at the top of Group G with 12 points, while Young Boys became caretakers with just one point and certainly could not reach the knockout phase.
