Reporting from Oddity Central (22/11), this chef named Mariska works at Hotel Zeeland. When he was about to retire, he wanted to give something memorable as a parting gift to his friends.

During his time working there, some of his colleagues often discussed the 'space cake' cake which is famous as a cannabis cake in the Netherlands, the shape at first glance looks like chocolate brownies in general but processed from cannabis leaves. Finally, Mariska decided to make this cake as her gift.

On his last day at work, he greeted all his co-workers and left the hotel with a surprise cake. He also left a message to eat the cake after work ended.

Unfortunately, some colleagues can't wait and immediately eat the cake. Without knowing that the cake contains marijuana.

Two people ate the cake and finally, they experienced side effects from marijuana in the cake. They began to feel exhausted, vomiting until they were unconscious. Even one of Mariska's co-workers was found asleep on the side of the road on top of her vomit.

Another co-worker experienced nausea after eating the cake and couldn't sleep for several days. The two co-workers eventually sued Mariska for the law because of her homemade cake.

"Some co-workers didn't experience anything, while others got sick," Mariska explained at the trial when explaining that she never intended to make her co-workers sick.

Because her explanation was unable to convince the judge of her innocence, the judge finally ruled that Mariska's actions amounted to dangerous misdeeds and that she should be held accountable for her actions.

Mariska was also obliged to pay compensation to her sick co-workers, as well as a deferral of €750.
