The course of the match "Colombia vs Brazil"

It was Brazil who took the initiative in attack first and managed to score in the fourth minute. The attack on the right side of the Colombian defense was built by Vinicius Junior and Gabriel Martinelli.

The two played a one-two combination that freed Martinelli in the box to flick the ball into the corner of Camilo Vargas' goal. This was Brazil's second-fastest goal in World Cup Qualifying history, at 3 minutes 42 seconds.

Despite falling behind, Colombia became more aggressive in attacking Brazil's defense. Luis Diaz became a mainstay to ruffle the Brazilian flank through his flagship acceleration and cut-in.

In the 16th minute, Diaz dribbled from the right side and passed it to Jorge Carrascal who shot directly on goal but was denied by Alisson Becker.

Diaz haunted the Brazilian defense again two minutes later with his action. This time the Brazilian defender was able to block the pace of his pass so as not to endanger Alisson's goal.

In the 22nd minute, Diaz was again in a free position to shoot on goal, but his pass ball hit the side of the goal.

Brazil got some bad news when Vinicius had to be withdrawn in the 27th minute due to a problem in his left thigh. Joao Pedro was brought in to replace the Real Madrid striker.

No more goals were scored until halftime so Brazil remained 1-0 lead.

Entering in the second half, Colombia tried to take the initiative in attack to suppress Brazil's defense and get a goal. In the 52nd minute, Rafael Santos Borre failed to match the ball well in front of the Brazilian goal and floated the opportunity.

Two minutes later Brazil hit back through Raphinha who fired a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fortunately, Vargas swiftly dismissed it.

Colombia's efforts finally paid off after equalizing the score in the 75th minute. Yaser Asprilla's cross from the left side headed into the middle of the box for Luis Diaz to head into Alisson's goal.

Diaz! Colombia went 2-1 up after the Liverpool forward scored his second goal four minutes later. This time James Rodriguez's cross from the right side was headed by Diaz into the right corner and Alisson could only watch the ball go into the net.

Brazil tried to hit back the rest of the time but they struggled to penetrate the Colombian defence. Until the end of the match, the score of 2-1 remained for Colombia's victory.
