Ghana's Raphael Dwamena dies on pitch

Ghana's Raphael Dwamena died on the pitch after collapsing on the pitch in an Albanian league match.

The Ghana Football Association announced the sad news. Dwamena died at the age of 28.

Dwamena Had Collapsed in the Field

"We are with Raphael Dwamena's family at this difficult time."

"Raphael represented Ghana wholeheartedly and always carried out his duty to the country until his death. We will always remember his dedication to the national team. Rest in peace, Raphael," the Ghana Football Association said in a statement.

So far there has been no official chronological release of Dwamena's death. But from the video circulating in cyberspace, Dwamena had collapsed in the field.

The referee immediately realized that and ran towards Dwamena. Players from both teams also immediately came to try to provide help.

The medical team quickly entered the field, followed by an ambulance that rushed directly into the field.

Previously, Dwamena had collapsed in October 2021 while playing in the Austrian Cup. In his career, Dwamena played a lot in the Austrian league and was recruited by Levante to play in the Spanish League.
