Liverpool's goal came close in the 65th minute when a mistake at the back allowed Chiedozie Ogbene to easily stab in from the left side. The ball was given to Carlton Morris who kicked directly from close range, which Alisson was able to clear.
Cody Gakpo, Harvey Elliott, and Kostas Tsimikas were brought on for more than an hour, to raise the intensity of the attack.
Gakpo would have almost scored in the 68th minute had he snatched Elliott's cross perfectly. But the ball fell behind him instead.
Two minutes later it was Nunez's turn to waste a chance when he got on the end of a header from Mo Salah at the far post. Unfortunately, Nunez's kick from close range even floated.

Attacking fun, Liverpool's goal was even broken in the 80th minute. From the situation in the Luton penalty area, their defense was open so Ross Barkley was able to dribble the ball through a counterattack.
Barkley moved the ball to Issa Kabore on the right side who immediately sent a pull pass, for Tahit Chong to finish in front of Alisson's goal.
Left behind, Liverpool are increasingly eager to attack Luton. The result was only obtained in the 95th minute when substitute Luis Diaz equalized the score 1-1.
