Interestingly, the first trailer of the film, which will be released on February 14, 2024, shows Sydney Sweeney in a Spider-Woman costume.

Surprise! With the appearance of two mysterious Spider-Man figures

In the 2-minute trailer, Sydney Sweeney, who will play Julia Carpenter in Madam Web, is shown fighting Ezekiel Sims, played by French actor Tahar Rahim.

If you follow the comic story, Ezekiel Sims himself is a person who managed to get Spider-Man's power after he performed a ritual from an object called Spider Totem.

In the fight scene, Julia Carpenter is shown wearing a classic costume from Spider-Woman which is dominated by black and white.

Spider-Woman's costume itself deserves appreciation because it still maintains the comic version that shows off blonde hair from Sydney Sweeney.

In addition to showing Julia Carpenter, the first trailer from Madam Web also shows Dakota Johnson who will play Cassandra Web.

Cassandra Web herself is the first Madam Web and has the power to see the future and connect with all the powers of Spider-Man.

One of the main surprises of the Madam Web trailer is the appearance of two mysterious Spider-Man figures. The first figure is shown as a woman in an Iron Spider Suit costume and Spider-Man in an all-black costume with net ornaments on her costume.

Most likely, the second figure is Ezekiel Sims, with Sony's Spider-Man Universe version of the Last Stand costume.

Sony itself has not released official information regarding the mysterious Spider-Man duo who appeared in the first trailer for Madam Web.

Some fans think the film version will be played by Dakota Johnson and will have a direct connection with the solo film Kraven the Hunter which will be played by Aaron Taylor Johnson.

In the comic version, he got the title after the death of Cassandra Web, after the kidnapping of Madam Web and Spider-Man.

Sony officially appointed S.J. Clarkson as director of Madam Web. As for the screenplay, it will be entrusted to Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless.

Clarkson himself is not a new name in the world of superhero film adaptations. He is also involved in other Marvel projects, namely the Marvel series The Defenders and Jessica Jones as lead director and executive producer.

His name has shone after successfully working on the film adaptation of the best-selling novel Anatomy of a Scandal.

Sony began to actively move in creating their universe that would contain superhero characters as well as villains from Spider-Man. The universe, named after Sony's Spider-Man Universe, already has a lineup such as Venom, Crange, Morbius, and Kraven, as well as announced films such as Black Cast and the Slik series.
