The fine-dining restaurant was started by chef Michael Deane in the 1990s and won its first Michelin star a year after opening under the Deane brand in 1997.
Michelin star restaurants to close at the end of 2023
Launching CNN, this restaurant will close at the end of 2023. Several factors cause this restaurant to close, including the increase in the selling price of food which is a sensitive thing among customers.
In addition, Covid-19, Brexit, and the rising cost of living also made restaurant managers decide to close and launch restaurants with new concepts.

The plan, the replacement restaurant Deanes EIPIC will prioritize "value for money" or more affordable prices.
Deane EIPIC restaurants follow the classic fine-dining restaurant model that produced many Michelin-star restaurants across Europe and beyond.
Head Chef Alex Greene, a finalist on the television show Great British Menu, said there would be a change in trends seen in the restaurant industry.
"Fancy dining, white linen tablecloths, service, and so on, seem to be a thing of the past," she explained.
Greene also sees the fine-dining market as the average Michelin-star restaurant shrinking, as the cost of living becomes noticeably high in Europe.
Similarly, in the UK it is increasingly difficult and expensive to hire skilled restaurant staff.
In addition to Deane EIPIC, fine-dining restaurants that announced closures include Noma in Copenhagen, Denmark, and Le Gavroche in London, England.
