PSG opened the lead in the 18th minute. Philipp Kohn failed to catch Ousmane Dembele's shot well, so a wild ball was struck by Goncalo Ramos to break Monaco's goal.
The visitors equalized the score in the 22nd minute. PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma made a blunder after receiving pressing from Florian Balogun. His pass went to Takumi Minamino, who immediately fired a hard shot into the left corner of the goal. The score became 1-1.

But PSG regained the lead in the 39th minute. Soungoutou Magassa's foul on Dembele in the box resulted in a penalty kick. Kylian Mbappe, who was the executor successfully carried out his duties, and closed the first half with a score of 2-1.
Dembele then put his name on the scoreboard after breaking Kohn's goal in the 70th minute. He received Fabian Ruiz's through pass from the left side, then dribbled into the penalty area and ended with a spectacular shot against Kohn's goal.
PSG added another goal two minutes later. Vitinha curled a shot from outside the box after receiving Mbappe's pass. The ball nestled in the top right corner of the goal without Kohn being able to block it.
Monaco did not necessarily give up. Florian Balogun scored in the 76th minute after receiving Minamino's through pass. He then fired a flat shot into the right corner of the goal to beat Donnarumma.
But only then did Monaco's resistance. PSG scored an additional goal in second-half injury time through Randal Kolo Muani's fierce shot, which took advantage of the crisis in front of Monaco's goal.
The 5-2 score closed this match, ensuring PSG comfortably at the top of the Ligue 1 standings with 30 points. While Monaco failed to get close and was stuck in third place with 24 points.
