Dani Carvajal opened Madrid's lead in the third minute. Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo then scored twice each to seal Madrid's victory.
Valencia scored a consolation goal in the final minutes. Hugo Duro broke Madrid's goal in the 88th minute to reduce Valencia's lead.
With this victory, Real Madrid stuck to Girona in the Spanish League standings. Los Blancos are 32 points second, two points behind top-placed Girona.

The hosts had already opened up the lead when the game was just three minutes away. Dani Carvajal, who received a long pass from Toni Kroos, then volleyed in from outside the box with his left foot to break Valencia's goal.
Five minutes later, Madrid almost doubled the lead. Toni Kroos' free kick was parried over the crossbar.

Madrid did not slack off in the second half despite being two goals ahead. Four minutes after the second half began, Madrid added a goal to take a 3-0 lead.
Vinicius scored his second goal of the match. Gaining considerable space, Vinicius fired a right-footed shot to beat Giorgi Mamardashvili at the near post.
Soon, precisely in the 50th minute, Mamardashvili made a blunder that was fatal to Valencia's goal. His pass went right to Rodrygo.
Rodrygo also immediately brought the ball into the penalty area. He then fired a right-footed shot that went into the bottom right corner of Valencia's goal.
Rodrygo broke Valencia's goal again in the 84th minute. Receiving the ball from Fran Garcia, Rodrygo danced around in Valencia's penalty area before firing a left-footed shot that headed towards the far post.
Valencia narrowed the gap in the 88th minute. Hugo Gonzalez's pass from the right side was passed by Hugo Duro with a first-time kick while dropping down.
