Playing at the Municipal Stadium, on Thursday (9/11/2023), Liverpool fielded several coating players. This decision did not work successfully because they conceded first.
The course of the match "Toulouse vs Liverpool"
In the 36th minute, Aron Donnum snatched possession from Kostas Tsimikas and then made a solo run before firing a shot that beat Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher. The 1-0 score closed the first half.
Liverpool then made changes by bringing on Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Dominik Szoboszlai being included at the start of the second half. The mission to chase goals began.

But Liverpool was still pressured by the hosts. Thijs Dallinga scored in the 50th minute, but the referee disallowed it for fouling Joel Matip first in the fight for the ball.
Eight minutes later, Dallinga broke Kelleher again, and this time it was legitimate. Through a counterattack, Vincent Sierro sent a through pass to Dallinga who completed the opportunity with a shot that shot into the left corner of the goal.
Two goals behind did not discourage Liverpool. They managed to thin the score in the 73rd minute after Joe Gomez's header hit Cristian Casseres Jr.'s body and into the Toulouse goal guarded by Guillaume Restes.
But Toulouse again took advantage of the fragility of Liverpool's back row two minutes later. Gabriel Suazo's shot hit Trent's leg and was parried by Kelleher, but a wild ball was struck by Frank Magri to break the Liverpool goal for the third time.
Liverpool, who have included Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota, continue to try to catch up. The second goal also came in the 89th minute. Jota broke through the penalty area, got past the Toulouse defense, and finished the action with a measured shot against Restes.
A dramatic situation occurred in the seventh minute of injury time. Liverpool youngster Jarell Quansah equalized, but the referee disallowed the goal after the Video Assistant Referee showed Alexis Mac Allister's handball in the process.
The score of 3-2 lasted until it was over. This defeat did not interfere with Liverpool's position at the top of Group E with nine points, but their position is now threatened by Toulouse who already have seven points.
