A dramatic situation occurred in the seventh minute of injury time. Liverpool youngster Jarell Quansah equalized, but the referee disallowed the goal after the Video Assistant Referee showed Alexis Mac Allister's handball in the process.
The score of 3-2 lasted until it was over. This defeat did not interfere with Liverpool's position at the top of Group E with nine points, but their position is now threatened by Toulouse who already have seven points.
