Bob Marley's life and legacy are coming soon to the big screen. Paramount Pictures unveiled the first trailer for Bob Marley: One Love. The film stars Kingsley Ben-Adir as the late singer Bob Marley and Lashana Lynch as his wife Rita.
Synopsis of the film "Bob Marley: One Love"
According to the synopsis, Bob Marley: One Love celebrates the life and music of an icon who inspired generations through messages of love and unity. First, on the big screen, you can discover the powerful story of Bob Marley overcoming adversity and the journey behind his revolutionary music.
The film was produced in partnership with the Marley family. Ziggy Marley, the eldest son of the late reggae legend, revealed that it's time for his father's story to be featured in a biopic. "You've heard his music and you think you know the guy, but do you understand what he went through and what moments shaped him into such a person," she wrote on Instagram.

Ziggy went on to say that the film will take viewers to witness for the first time what it's like to be around the legend, to see his pain, his sadness, his joy, and his redemption. Filmed in the UK and Jamaica, the cast and crew represent one of the most unique creations to ever come out of a Hollywood studio.
"The authenticity fills the screen with many Jamaican actors that make us proud to represent the culture. Filmed in actual places where Bob walks, plays football, and sings like Trench Town and Bull Bay in Kingston, it's an artistic creation we're proud of and want you to enjoy entertaining but also to be inspired by," the father of seven added.
Ziggy added that the film for his family is a continuation of Bob Marley's message and growth. In addition, he hopes that this film can inspire not only old fans but also the younger generation. "Giving them a vehicle that opens doors to explore Bob's life and music and thus expands the universal message of unification, justice, and peace across the earth. We did this with purpose and are happy to share with you the trailer for Bob Marley's One Love movie," he wrote. "RASTAFARI."
Bob Marley: One Love was directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, who made his directorial debut for King Richard. Zach Baylin, screenwriter for King Richard, also wrote the script for Marley's film.
