Serbian Novak Djokovic is eyeing an eighth Wimbledon title to match the achievements of his former rival, Roger Federer.

Novak Djokovic's hopes of becoming the most Grand Slam title winners

Not only that. Djokovic will go down as the most successful men's singles player in the world if he can win Wimbledon 2023 for being the winner of the most Grand Slam titles.

The 36-year-old has just passed Rafael Nada's record after winning the 2023 French Open. He now holds 23 Grand Slam trophies, one ahead of Nadal.

If he wins the grass-court Grand Slam which starts rolling on Monday (07/03/2023), Djokovic increasingly asserts himself as the king of Grand Slams.

Djokovic comes to the All England Club as defending champion after last year's podium finish. She is again the favorite to win Wimbledon 2023.

If he wins, Djokovic can aim for another record set by Rod Laver in 1969 when he won the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and US Open.

Djokovic already has two Grand Slam champions this year after winning the 2023 Australian Open and the 2023 French Open. So, he just has to wait for two more Grand Slams, namely Wimbledon and the 2023 US Open.

But Djokovic will face big hurdles. Carlo Alcaraz who is the world's number one player can be Djokovic's detachment to set a number of these records.

Moreover, the young Spaniard has just won his first title on grass after winning the Queen's event last week.

However, Djokovic's magic left Alcaraz helpless when facing the world number two in the semifinals of the 2023 French Open. At that time Alcaraz was cramped and finally lost.

"I see Djokovic hasn't lost a match on Centre Court since 2013 when he fought Andy Murray. So it's 10 years, crazy," said Alcaraz, who qualified for the last 16 of Wimbledon 2022.

"But I hope there is an audience behind me to change that status," added Alcaraz, whose steps Jannik Sinner cheered at Wimbledon 2022.
