Playing with a 3-5-2 formation, the dominance of the world's fourth-ranked team, England, is beyond doubt. They kept pressing, even when the game was only five minutes away.

Alessia Russo's close shot in the sixth minute almost turned the scoreboard to 1-0 for England's lead. Luckily, the ball was still saved by the Colombian players who were falling in front of their own goal.

The serious duel became more visible when the game entered the 15th minute. Both teams play attacking each other to achieve maximum results.

England then got another golden opportunity through Rachel Daly's header in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, a crossing pass from Georgia Stanway could not be executed properly.

Colombia then attacked the English defensive line. In the 44th minute, Leicy Santos' long-range crossing gave the Powerpuff Girls a 1-0 lead over the Lionesses.

It didn't take long for England to equalize. Lauren Hemp's strike at the end of the first half made the score between the two teams change to 1-1 until the drop of time to drink.

Entering the second half, England went crazy even more. Many times opportunities are obtained, and many times the opponent is overwhelmed.

Sure enough, the back line of the Colombian national team faltered when several Lionesses players ambushed from various sides. Until finally Georgia Stanway's long pass was successfully used by Alessia Russo in the 63rd minute. The score changed 2-1 to England's advantage.

Colombia almost equalized to 2-2 through Lorena Durango's fierce strike in the 71st minute. Luckily, the ball was swiftly cleared by England goalkeeper Mary Earps.

Towards the end of the second half, England and Colombia appeared increasingly violent. Nelson Abadia's side kept trying to equalize, but England, with their sturdy defense, did not let that happen.

No more goals were scored after eight minutes of extra time. The score ended 2-1 in favor of the Lionesses.
