Liverpool created two chances through Luis Diaz and Virgil van Dijk at the start of the second half.

Diaz fired a shot from the left side of the attack that did not harm the hosts' goal. After that, Van Dijk fired a curling shot that was narrowly over Chelsea's crossbar in the 49th minute.
