After 28 years of career, Gianluigi Buffon announces retirement
One by one football players announced their retirement from the world that raised their name. Now after a 28-year career, Gianluigi Buffon announced his retirement.
Buffon revealed the decision to hang up his boots through his social media. Most of his career was spent in the Juventus shirt.

"It's hard to find the right words on a day like this. It is very difficult to talk about football on a day when this incredible player says goodbye as the best No. 1.
Buffon's exciting football career
The 45-year-old featured for Juventus for 17 seasons after signing from Parma in 2001. Buffon had one season playing for Paris Saint-Germain in 2018/2019 and returned to Juventus in the period 2019 to 2021.
Buffon then returned to Parma for two seasons, from 2021 to 2023. He failed to help the club gain promotion to Serie A after running aground in the playoffs.
