Martinet is known to have been the voice of the character who is identical to his thick mustache for 27 years or almost three decades.

Charles Martinet will no longer voice Mario from now on

Martinet's career as Mario's voice actor began in 1991 when he portrayed the plumber character at an exhibition.

He then served the same role in 1992 for the Mario pinball game and in 1994 for the Mario Teaches Typing game.

After his work on Mario 64, Martinet was also trusted as a voice actor for the characters Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi as well as several other Nintendo characters for many years.

It's unclear which game will be Martinet's last project as Mario's voice actor.

However, fans speculate that the initial footage of Mario Wonder and WarioWare: Move It is no longer filled by Martinet.

After no longer being the voice of Mario cs, Martinet will take on his new role as Mario Ambassador.

Through its official Twitter account, Nintendo UK came up with news that was quite sad. The voice actor who has voiced Mario for decades, more precisely since the Mario 64 era – Charles Martinet will certainly no longer voice Mario from now on. The good news? Nintendo will give Charles a new role as "Mario Ambassador" who will continue to travel around the world to spread the happiness that Mario wants to offer. Nintendo did not forget to thank Charles for this irreplaceable contribution of Charles.

Nintendo itself has not spoken about who Mario's latest voice actor is from now on. But they promised to release a special video with Shigeru Miyamoto and Charles Martinet himself for this change.
