Brazil faced Bolivia at Estadio Mangueirao in their first match in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers CONMEBOL zone. The hosts appeared to press from the start of the match.

Neymar almost scored when the game was just two minutes away. However, the shot was still slightly wide.
In the 15th minute, Brazil was awarded a penalty. The referee pointed to the white dot after Adrian Jusino's handball.

Six minutes later, Brazil scored the third goal. Rodrygo made a brace in this match.
Receiving a pass from Bruno Guimaraes, Rodrygo was freed from escort. He calmly blasted the ball into the goal. Brazil took a 3-0 lead in the 53rd minute.
In the 61st minute. Neymar finally got his name on the scoreboard after grabbing a wild ball in front of goal.
Bolivia had narrowed the gap in the 87th minute through the action of Victor Abrego. Neymar then sealed Brazil's victory with his goal in the final minute of the match. The Brazilian team won 5-1.
This result brought Brazil to the top of the list with three points. They are level on points with Uruguay, Argentina, and Colombia but ahead on goal difference. Bolivia is bottom with no points.
