Riders Appear First in Q1 Session to Fight for Top Two Positions

As usual, the riders will first appear in the Q1 session to fight for the top two positions to enter Q2 of the 2023 Indian MotoGP qualifying, aka get the opportunity to hunt for the pole starting position.

There was Brad Binder who was seen sped up at the beginning of Q1. He clocked 1 minute 44.761 seconds, 0.238 seconds ahead of Raul Fernandez.

Not long ago it was Raul Fernandez's turn to gaspol and take the top position with 1 minute 44.410 seconds. There are still about three minutes left before Q1 is complete.

Alex Marquez appeared to experience highside, raising a yellow flag. It happened after he shot up and put himself in second place.

In the end, Alex Marquez and Raul Fernandez qualified for Q2 of the 2023 Indian MotoGP Qualifying. But there are question marks about the condition of Alex Marquez, who appeared to have to be helped by marshals to leave the crash site and then taken to a medical center after the incident.

At the beginning of Q2, the impatient Aleix Espargaro looked fooled because this session was pushed back a while. He also had to go back to the garage.

Unfortunately, a moment later the green flag marking the start of the second session of the 2023 Indian MotoGP Qualifying was raised. Aleix Espargaro himself looked angry when he had to go back to his garage.

Jorge Martin, Marco Bezzecchi, and Luca Marini looked to show their pace to occupy the top three positions in the interim. But the session only lasted halfway.

Meanwhile, Marc Marquez appeared to crash at Turn 3, although quickly got back on his bike. There has been no sign of his brother, Alex Marquez, on the track.

Entering the final minutes of Q2, Marco Bezzecchi shot to record a time of 1 minute 43.947 seconds aka 0.2 seconds faster than Jorge Martin who previously continued to occupy the top position this session.

The position lasted until the end. There is also Francesco Bagnaia who takes third place, making the front row start of the 2023 Indian MotoGP entirely belong to Ducati riders.
