England host Italy at Wembley, on Tuesday (10/18/2023), in the continuation of the Euro 2024 Qualifiers. England had already conceded when the game had only run 15 minutes.
The course of the match "England vs Italy"
Italy struck quickly from the left and Stephan El Shaarawy's cross was met by Davide Frattesi on the opposite side. He passed it to Giovanni Di Lorenzo, who then passed the ball to Gianluca Scamacca. Scamacca's kick buried the ball into the net.
Another chance from Italy in the 23rd minute. Scamacca got the ball from Domenico Berardi, broke away from John Stones, then fired a shot that was still wide.

Penalty! England were awarded a penalty in the 28th minute after Jude Bellingham was brought down by Di Lorenzo. VAR confirmed the referee's decision and Harry Kane did his job successfully, leveling the scores for England.
England threatened at the end of the first half. Marcus Rashford stabbed in and his pass was parried by Gianluigi Donnarumma. Italy responded with the action of Destiny Udogie, but Jordan Pickford was quick to secure the goal.
GOAL! England turned in the lead in the 57th minute. After cutting off the Italian attack, the British advanced through Bellingham. The ball was passed to Rashford, whose pass Donnarumma could not stop.
Phil Foden's first-time strike in the 68th minute led to the goal. Donnarumma brushed it off.
GOAL! England extended the lead in the 77th minute. Marc Guehi's long pass failed to be stopped by Bastoni so the ball was controlled by Kane. Kane withstood pressure from Giorgio Scalvini, then calmly tackled Donnarumma.
Italy pressed and Frattesi's pass was grabbed by Moise Kean. His pass ball still aimed directly at Pickford.
There were no other goals until the game was over, England won 3-1. The win ensured England qualified for next year's finals, leading Group C with 16 points.
They are three points ahead of Ukraine and six ahead of Italy. Italy will next clash with Ukraine for direct escape.
