Jon Fosse, a writer from Norway won the 2023 Nobel Prize in Literature this year. In addition to the plaque, Fosse also received 11 million Swedish kronor.

He came out as the winner of this award for two of his works, drama, and prose that exposed taboos.
The literary prize is awarded to the person who has produced the most outstanding work in this field ideally
Fosse also managed to eliminate four other nominees namely Salman Rushdie, Can Xue, Margaret Atwood, and Haruki Murakami.

Previous winners of the award are Toni Morrison, Doris Lessing, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, and Bob Dylan. The Nobel Prize, awarded in 1901, recognizes achievements in the fields of literature, science, peace, and economics.
The literary prize is awarded to the person who has produced the most outstanding work in this field. It was by the wishes of businessman and founder of this prize from Sweden, Alfred Nobel in 1895.
Last year, the award was won by French author Annie Ernaux who dedicated herself for 50 years to exploring life, gender gaps, language, and class.
