1 Person Killed in Shooting at U.S. Mental Hospital
A shooter opens fire, resulting in 1 person being killed in a shooting at a United States Mental Hospital. This happened in the state of New Hampshire, United States.

New Hampshire police official, Mark Hall said, as reported by AFP news agency, on Saturday (11/18/2023), the suspect entered the New Hampshire Hospital in Concord and shot dead one person in the hospital lobby on Friday (11/17) local time.
Shooter Shot Dead by Police
"A state trooper assigned to the hospital and nearby immediately sprang into action, shot and killed the suspect," he told a news conference, adding that the shooting only took place in the hospital lobby.
Hall did not identify the shooter or the victim.

"There is no threat to the community, and there is no threat to patients or hospital staff."
New Hampshire Hospital in the state capital of Concord is a 185-bed inpatient facility that treats patients with acute mental illness.
Shootings are very common in the United States, a country with more firearms than its population. Efforts to suppress the spread of firearms in the country have always been met with stiff resistance.
