West Ham played better in the second half. Arsenal looked to lose control in the first half.
West Ham could instead extend the lead to 3-0 in the 60th minute. Jarrod Bowen fired a shot from outside the box that goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale failed to stop.
Arsenal scored a late consolation goal through Martin Odegaard. The goal did not affect West Ham because they still won with a score of 3-1 and reached the quarterfinals.
