The German national team won its first victory under Julian Nagelsmann and defeated the United States in a test match, with the result "USA vs Germany: 3-1".

This match was special for Nagelsmann. This is his debut match in charge of Nationalelf since being appointed to replace Hansi Flick at the end of September 2023.
The course of the match "USA vs Germany"
Germany got a golden opportunity 10 minutes into the game. Pascal Gross' flat shot hit the U.S. goal post.
The home team scored a goal entering the 27th minute. Christian Pulisic broke into the German net after swerving from the left side of the opponent's defensive area and unleashing a directed kick into the top corner of the goal. The U.S. led 1-0.

Germany equalized in the 39th minute. Ilkay Guendogan snatched in Leroy Sane's ball which was parried by U.S. goalkeeper Matt Turner in the box. The score of 1-1 became the final result of the first half.
A golden opportunity was again obtained by Germany three minutes into the second half. Niklas Fullkrug's left-footed shot was cleared out by Turner.
Fullkrug did not waste a chance in the 57th minute. This time he successfully scored from a close-range shot, maximizing Robin Gosens' short pass. Germany turned 2-1 ahead.
Germany added a goal in the 61st minute. Jamal Musiala tore through the U.S. backline, before sending the ball to Fullkrug which was returned into Musiala's tap-in goal.
The U.S. tried to catch up the rest of the time but failed to score. The score was 3-1 for Germany until the long whistle sounded.
It was Germany's first win since beating Peru 2-0 at the end of March 2023. Die Nationalmannschaft had a bad result after that with five defeats which led to the sacking of Hansi Flick.
