Portugal vs Iceland: 2-0

The Portuguese national team won its tenth victory in Euro 2024 qualifying. This time the Selecao das Quinas won convincingly over Iceland, with the result of the match, "Portugal Vs Iceland: 2-0".

The tenth matchday of Euro 2024 qualifying held a Portugal vs Iceland duel. The match took place at Estadio Jose Alvalade, on Sunday (11/19/2023).

Portugal appeared to attack from the beginning of the game. Joao Felix's attempted ball in the third minute was saved by Iceland goalkeeper Hakon Valdimarsson.

Portugal had another chance in the 25th minute. This time Goncalo Inacio's header greeted Bruno Fernandes' free kick off target.

GOAL! Portugal broke the deadlock in the 37th minute. Bruno Fernandes put his name on the scoreboard.

Fernandes fired a shot from the edge of the box that rolled into the net without Valdimarsson being able to stop. Portugal led 1-0 and became the final score of the first half.

Portugal continued to play attacking in the second half. Cristiano Ronaldo's header in the 61st minute was saved by Valdimarrson.

GOAL! The home team doubled the lead entering the 66th minute. Ricardo Horta blasted the ball into the net, taking advantage of Ronaldo's shot that Valdimarsson dismissed.

Horta's goal secured Portugal's 2-0 win over Iceland. Roberto Martinez's men picked up their tenth win in Euro 2024 qualifying.

Portugal ensured themselves out as Group J winners with 30 points, and have sealed a ticket to qualify for Euro 2024. Iceland is fourth with 10 points.
